Bobi and Bill's extended
family includes a total of 17 grandchildren, including Stephen and Dani,
and one great-grandchild. Stephen and Dani have lived with Bobi and Bill for
nearly twelve years, all of them aboard a sailboat, as Bill is their legal
guardian.
We are using the Calvert School in Maryland as a home-school
provider, as it has high international recognition and regard. Of
course, everything becomes a lesson aboard a boat, and Stephen knows a
lot about engines, epoxy, radio waves, plumbing, woodwork and was
just certified as an S.C.U.B.A. Open Water Diver; Dani is also interested
in everything and doesn't like to be left out of any lesson.
We have
spent 13 weeks over the summers of '99 and '00, touring the country,
visiting 48 states, five provinces of Canada, and
logging over 30,000 miles. The six of us, cats included, found that we
love traveling together, so we're eager to begin our world tour!
The newest members of the
family are Forest Holbrook, born to Kirk and Sherrie in Augusta, Maine
on June 27, 2003, and Kailea Hogerhuis, born to John and Angela on November
13, 2003,
in Anaheim, California.
